Hotel Kendler – in the heart of the village St. Gilgen

In the heart of the village St. Gilgen awaits you the historic and cosy family owned hotel.

Our hotel is the oldest tavern between Salzburg and Bad Ischl.
Our Hotel/Restaurant is documentary mentioned in 1420 as “Untere Tafern”
Old father time and the tradition gave us the additional name of “Restaurant to the golden ox”

But time didn’t stand still. At 1900 the buildings got the exterior superficies. That is a little history of our hotel, which is owned by the Kendler Family since 1865 and run in 5th generation.

Today our hotel offers the guests much comfort and is an optimal point or origin to witness many cultural, nature and sports – and begin therewith in St. Gilgen.
